Nantymoel Boxing Club was founded in 2010, our gym is situated in the heart of the Ogmore valley occupying the old “belt club”. Having started coach in various rooms at boys and girls clubs Nantymoel, Wyndham and Bettws, we outgrew each location with quick succession due to number members.

In the 2010/11 season we gained our first welsh senior champion, in 2011/12 season we gained another novice champion and welsh representative, and also had 3 boxers in the finals of various championships with Alan Harry and Brendon Pickering picking up welsh titles and Kai Durston narrowly losing a very close contest.

We have recently had our best season with Alan Harry picking up another welsh novice title at 57 kg, while Brendon Pickering and Kai Durston entered the welsh open championships and though both narrowly losing on close points decisions this club is very proud of all our Boxers achievements.

We also have as a member of this club an outstanding grade 1 referee and judge in Mark Williams who recently gained his A.I.B.A fist class honour and is regularly the outstanding official at tournaments.

With classes running 4 evenings a week with sessions starting from 5 pm till 7.30 pm for young beginners, eager starters and for all senior and open class Boxers.

We are lucky to have the help of our assistant coaches in Dean Lloyd, Kenny Owens, and our full coaches Gareth Davies, Mark Williams and Mike Richards, and overseeing all club developments is head coach Dean Morgan. We are currently in the process of achieving funding to purchase the club outright and fully refurbish it to provide the whole valley with a purpose built fitness centre open to all activities.
